The Get Up & Go Quilt

Hey there, its Lizzy from CraftHillArtisans...the home of handcrafted patchwork loveliness for your family, friends, pets & home. Happy Autumn everyone!...I hope you are enjoying the slightly cooler weather (well in the UK its cooler) I for one absolutely adore this season..."Autumnal" is my very favourite word...fact! I cannot decide if this is because of the colour changes in nature...all those reds golds & browns are gorgeous & so inspiring for a crafter like myself.Or is it the relief I feel now that the temperatures have dropped or that it means we are a whole lot closer to Christmas now? Anyway......I am popping on with an update on my new CraftHillArtisans brand rep Evie & a catch up with recent commissions I have been working on & the new lines just listed in my Etsy store. Here's my newest line.....destined for Evie to show off. What do you think of it?

I'm really happy with how this quilt/play mat/bag has turned out & i'm calling it a "Get Up & Go Quilt" because it converts from a padded quilt to lay on or play on into a bag....just pull the drawer string up & go. Perfect for day trips or visiting, to transport babies toys or changing gear about. And because it has cosy wadding inside its great for impromptu naps too.Babies love to nap.

I love the soft ice creamy fabric colours in this one...Brand Rep Evie's Granny Karen sent them for me to use...there's the families trade mark unicorns...they are a must! I plan to make these in different colours & because they are patchwork the variations will be never ending. Well, Evie is growing & developing fast...you might remember that since arriving in August she has been busy helping to promote Craft Hill Artisans & my baby goodies as my #CHAbrandrep. Her mummy Gemma kindly shares her gorgeous pictures of Evie's adventures which is a real treat for me...I love seeing my makes being used out there.

Here she is at a few days old on her 1st ever quilt...this has been made to match in with her rainbow themed nursery but i'm delighted to see that she uses it for all sorts of things. She even takes it with her to her weekly session at the Sing & Social club.....check out the 3rd photo of her at 8 weeks old...hasn't she changed?

Since showing off her quilt I have had several orders for the same style...rainbows are so special to lots of people & lets face it...they are fun! I hope she will work her modelling magic with the Get Up & Go Quilt too.
